At the launch event in London the official said that the smartphones will be available from next month in Asia and Europe. We have reviewed the important features of HTC Titan here. Let’s see what it has to offer to the Microsoft and HTC fans.
Size and Design:
HTC is renowned for its elegant designs and Titan design is no different even though it’s a giant smart phone. We have seen the previous HTC phones built with premium materials and Titan like the Desire and Sensation features moulded aluminium body. It has a huge screen and the phone is 131.5mm long 70.7mm wide and has a weight of16og. That’s quiet a size but even with such dimensions and weight it is only 9.9mm thick.
Display:
It features S-LCD capacitive touchscreen having a huge size of 4.7 inch. Not many smart phones feature such a giant screen. The screen resolution is 480*800 pixels and the pixel density is 199ppi.It features the multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turn off, accelerometer for auto rotate and gyroscope sensor.
Camera:
The giant smart phone has a big 8MP camera with auto focus and LED flash. The maximum image resolution is 3264x2448 pixels. Unfortunately there aren’t any image enhancing features but it offers geo-tagging. It is able to record HD 720p video and also features 1.3MP secondary video call camera.

Storage Capacity:
The internal storage capacity of the phone is 16GB and that’s all what it has as there is no card slot in the phone which really is a set back for such a big device.
Connectivity:
It features Wi-Fi with DLNA, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR and micro USB 2.0 apart from the 3G support.
Battery:
Our Opinion:
Monster of a smartphone, only glitch is price and performance of Mango OS. Otherwise everything seems perfect.

EVO 3D’s main competitor in the market will be the recently launched LG Optimus 3D, but by the look of things it is already very much obvious the EVO 3D is a much superior device. We have reviewed the important features of the smart phone on multiple fronts.
Processor and OS:
It features a 1.2GHz Dual core processor powered by Adreno 220 GPU on a Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset. It runs the Android 2.3(Gingerbread) OS.
Size and Design:
EVO 3G is gorgeous; the very first look can make you fall in love with it. Similar to EVO 4G it is black with blood-red detailing. The smart phone has a solid built but it is not bulky by any means. The design is slim and gives you a pleasurable feeling with its textured rubber backing. Bear in mind that it is a big phone having 5 inches of length, 3 inches of width and a depth of 0.47inches. Even though it’s a big device but a weight of 170g makes it a little tough to handle.
Display:
The 3D display is off course one of the most important feature of the phone it uses the parallex barriers to display the 3D images and videos with out the need of glass. It features a giant 4.3 inch 3D LCD capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and pixel density of 256ppi. It comes with HTC sense UI and supports multi-touch input. It also features accelerometer for auto rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn off, gyro sensor and has touch sensitive controls.

Storage Capacity:
The phone has a decent 1GB of internal storage capacity and the same amount of RAM to go with it. Like many other smart phones of today the external memory can be extended up to 32GB via SD card.
EVO 3D is surely one out of the very top drawer and with the 3D feature not really heated up as yet EVO 3D can certainly grab the attention of 3D lovers big time.
Our Opinion:
It is currently one of the most powerful smartphone launched ever in India. The 3D Capability along with 1.2 Ghz Dual core processor makes it more and more attractive. As per looks also its a good phone. The price is a little bit on a higher side, however in few days you can expect a little fall in the price and it will be a good buy.

HTC Incredible S is one of the finest smartphones in India by HTC. It has carried forward the reputation of HTC Desire series quite successfully. LG on the other hand is quickly emerging as a new great competitor for the already established manufacturers in the smartphone world. The latest LG Smartphone in India is LG Optimus Black. Here we have compared LG’s super smart phone Optimus Black with HTC Incredible S which already has a good launching pad provided by the predecessors.
Design and Looks:
HTC incredible S comes with the traditional sleek design crafted of high grade materials. Incredible S is 120mm in length are certainly not the slimmest and lightest having a thickness of 11.7mm and weighing 135g. Optimus Black on the other hand has a very decent design with curved edges and bevel effect on the rear. It is 122mm in length and weighs only 109g. It is also one of the thinner phones around being only 9.2mm thick.
Display:
Optimus Black features the latest IPS LCD capacitive touch screen having screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 16M color support. HTC Incredible S comes with S-LCD capacitive touch screen with the same screen resolution and color support as Optimus Black. Both phones have giant 4.0 inch screen size. The latest IPS LCD display of Optimus Black may just have a slight edge over the S-LCD panel in Incredible S.

Incredible S features Android 2.2 which can be upgraded to Android 2.4 whereas Optimus Black runs on Android 2.2 which can be upgraded to Android 2.3. Not a great bit of difference between the two phones on this front.
Camera:
The biggest difference between the smart phones lies in the different camera resolution with HTC Incredible S featuring an 8MP camera with autofocus and dual LED flash in contrast to 5MP camera in Optimus Black with autofocus and LED flash. However, both phones are able to record HD 720p video at 30fps. LG Optimus Black also has a 2MP front camera in contrast to 1.3MP camera in Incredible S.
Final Verdict and Price:
On the basis of the most important features that are compared above we can say that Optimus Black has a clear advantage over Incredible S expect for its higher resolution camera. The price very much eliminates that advantage as well with Optimus Black priced around RS 18000 and HTC Incredible S around RS 24000.

Touch and Type smartphones, i.e. Smartphones with Touchscreen as well as Full QWERTY Keypad are gaining a good popularity in the Indian mobile market. It started with Samsung Galaxy Pro and was followed by other mobile manufacturers like Nokia, Blackberry and now HTC. Nokia and HTC have recently launched their latest smartphones in India in this form i.e. Nokia E6 and HTC Chacha. Here we have compared these devices, Nokia E6 and HTC Chacha on multiple features.
Design and Size:
In the candy bar form we mentioned, Nokia E6 seems more compact. Its QWERTY Keypad has keys are very much joined having hardly any gap between them whereas HTC desire keys are very much apart, making typing easier. HTC Chacha is also quiet wider having a width of 64.6mm compared to 59mm of Nokia E6. But Chacha weighs only 120g in contrast to 133g of E6.
Display:
HTC Chacha has a slightly bigger 2.6 inch capacitive TFT touch screen with resolution of 480 x 320 pixel compared to the same capacitive TFT display of E6 with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Nokia E6 has better 16M color support in contrast to 256K colors in Chacha. HTC Chacha has HTC 2.1 UI.
Processor and OS:
HTC Chacha features 800 MHz processor and the latest Android 2.3(Gingerbread), Nokia E6 has a slightly less powerful 680MHz processor but its 2D/3D hardware acceleration card with OpenVG1.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0 very much makes up for it.
Camera:
The biggest difference between the two phones lies in the camera resolution. Nokia E6 takes lead with an 8MP camera autofocus camera with dual LED flash HTC Chacha features a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash. Nokia E6 is able to record HD 720p video at 25fps, where as the Chacha records video maximum resolution of 720x480 pixels at 30 fps. Both phones have geo-tagging and face detection feature and a secondary VGA camera.

Nokia E6 Price in India is Rs.17,500 and HTC Chacha Price in India is Rs.15,000
Conclusion:
HTC Chacha has a trendy design which may not suit everyone specially the business class, however it has an edge over Nokia E6 in terms of Processor and Operating system. However, as an overall package, Nokia E6 would be a better buy specially for its simple yet professional design.
HTC recently launched its latest Android smartphone HTC Wildfire S in India. This phone is the successor of highly successful HTC Wildfire. Wildfire S is in the price range of Rs.13,500 and has a good competition with Samsung Wave 2 which is known for its ultra gaming features. Wildfire S Vs Wave 2 is a contest between the Android based and the new Samsung’s Bada OS smartphone.

Samsung wave 2 is quiet a large device compared to Wildfire S which has a very compact design but Wave 2 is quiet thinner than the competitor having thickness of 11.8mm compared to 12.4mm of Wildfire S Wildfire S is lighter in weight though, it weights only 105g compared to 135g of Wave 2. For Apps Savvy users Android will surely be the first choice as Bada doesn’t have the App store as developed as that of Android.
Camera:
Both phones feature a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels but Wave2 has the upper hand when it comes to video recording capability. Smartphones in India has new to offer everyday. Recently we saw the launch of Dual Core HTC Sensation. BlackBerry Torch and HTC sensation are the symbols of innovation with each device aiming to bed different than their predecessors. Let’s see who is aiming higher and which ones comes on top in this battle of innovation and class as we compare the important feature of both these phones.
Size and Design:
HTC always has something different about it design but sensation goes a step ahead having a longer, much thinner and a sleek design something that you haven’t seen much with HTC phones. The edges are curved but not over done with a nice finish right though out the surface. It weighs 148g.Blackberry is finally trying to come out of their typical design mode and looking to produce more elegant devices. BlackBerry Torch is probably the more stylish of the Blackberry devices so far thanks to its giant screen, angular shape, and sliding out QWERTY keyboard. The phone weighs 161g but the stylish looks have it very much covered.
Display:
The two phones belong to a different class when it comes to the display front. Phones with QWERTY keyboard are usually the ones not getting into the 4.0inch category ,same is the case with Blackberry torch having a 3.2inch TFT capacitive touch screen with 360*480 resolution an optical track pad and multiple touch feature.HTC desire however is way ahead , featuring a Sony made 4.3 inch S-LCD capacitive touch screen gorilla glass display with a resolution of 540*960 pixels.HTC has loaded the sensation with its 3.0UI, multitouch, gyro sensors and accelerometer features.HTC desire is clearly the winner on the display front.
Storage:
Torch provides an impressive 4GB of internal storage with the RAM and ROM each having 512MB to go with it. The storage capacity can be extended with the help of micro SD card supportive up to 32GB. HTC desire only has 1GB of internal memory but slightly greater 768MB of RAM. The external storage can be extended up to 32 GB same like the Torch. Additional RAM on Sensation is a plus but greater storage capacity of Torch takes it in front.
Operating System:
Torch uses the Blackberry’s own BB6.0 OS and sensation relies on the increasingly popular latest version of Google Android. It would be hard to compare the two as both are designed according to their own preferences. BB6.0 offer excellent business tools where you can easily organize your files and contacts where as Android 2.3 offers a greater customization features.
Processor:
Sensation signifies its power with a dual core 1.2Ghz processor, something that is quiet rear so far on smart phones. Such high power processer allows multitasking, browsing the web at a much higher speed and a quick overall response from your device. Torch, even though nowhere close to the 1.2 GHz dual core processor, has a decent enough processor that performs the task quiet efficiently at a quick speed.
Camera:
HTC features an 8Mp camera that is able to record HD videos at either 720p or 1080p and go with it offer numerous image enhancing features. Torch features a decent enough 5MP camera capable of recording high quality videos and images.
Conclusion:
Its quiet clear now that HTC sensation is one from the heavy weight category with its extremely powerful features and processing power. Blackberry Torch may not be as powerful but still has a lot to offer, a phone that is quiet capable of doing its job efficiently. However, if you can afford then definitely go for HTC Sensation else Blackberry Torch is not a bad option either.
